Redondo Beach Super Bowl Sunday 10K/5K – Sun., Feb., 2 – 6:15AM
Theme: Create Your Own Halftime Show.
The Costume Contest will be held Before the races on Sunday, February 2 at 6:15AM.
Everyone who participates will be eligible to win a One Night Stay at the Portofino Hotel including a Breakfast package for two.
Top prizes include a Bicycle donated by REI and $250 King Harbor restaurant gift cards.
Participants are encouraged to dress according to the Superbowl theme: Create Your Own Halftime Show, which really opens the playing field to just about anything creative, although wardrobe malfunctions are discouraged!
Vera Jimenez, KTLA-TV Meteorologist and Redondo Beach resident, will be emceeing the contest with an impressive cast of judges:
All registrants will be entered into a random drawing for a free night stay at the Portofino Hotel including a Breakfast package for two.
Registrants may participate in one of four categories:
1) Kids ages 12 and under
2) Individuals ages 12+
3) Groups of 6 or less
4) Groups of 7 or more

Redondo Beach Pier Festival of the Kite, Sun., March 8, 12 – 5pm. This is one of southern California’s longest-running kite festivals at over 40 years! Always held on the 2nd Sunday in March in conjunction with Daylight Savings Time, this event draws thousands from all over the world coming together to fly kites on Redondo Beach. Prizes are awarded in various categories including highest flying kite and youngest at heart kite flyer. There is also live music, martial arts demos and a hot dog on a stick eating contest with cash prizes. Free fun for all ages.
Ruby’s Car Show. Join us @ 3 p.m. every Friday afternoon in the parking lot at Ruby’s Diner for a car lover’s paradise. Vintage Cadillacs, Buicks, Corvettes, and every car in between drive to Ruby’s “Cruise at the Beach.” With close to 250 cars showing up every week. People from across the South Bay come to show off their cars, or drool over something they wish was parked in their garage.
Family Movie Nights. King Harbor Association and Redondo Pier Association invite you to family-friendly movies every Friday at 7:30 p.m. throughout the month of May on the boardwalk between Redondo Beach Pier and Marina. All movies are rated PG and begin at dusk, so actual times may vary.
Beachlife Festival, May 1-3, 2020. Grab your friends and head to Redondo Beach. We’ll be watching the sunset and our favorite bands play LIVE on the beach. Come honor the Southern California BeachLife with live music, great food, great drinks, great surfing, and everything beach.
4th of July Celebration & Fireworks. This family and kid friendly special event will feature first come, first serve seating throughout the Seaside Lagoon. All day fun for the kids includes swimming with family in the warm water Lagoon, inflatable slides, arts & crafts, party music from the Live DJ, and a special menu of food and beverages from Ruby’s.
Summer Concerts on the Redondo Pier. Join us for a live concert over the water and watch the incredible sunset from the end of the pier during the show. Concerts on the 1st and 3rd Thursdays will take place at the “Octagon” on the International Boardwalk (below Kincaid’s).
Rods, Rides & Relics Classic Car Show on the Redondo Pier. Offering some of the best-kept antique cars in the Southern California, over 100 show quality cars will be on display over the water on the Redondo Beach Pier.
King Harbor Holiday Boat Parade. The King Harbor Yacht Club presents the annual King Harbor Holiday Boat Parade. A longtime favorite of locals and visitors to the area, this hugely popular South Bay event gets under way in the main channel of King Harbor. The Body Glove yacht Disappearance will lead off the parade along with the Grand Marshal. Check out these viewing spots and make sure to call ahead if you want to get a reserved seat inside.

Concert and Santa on the Redondo Pier. Greet Santa as he arrives at the end of the pier with his surfboard. Enjoy live holiday music and don’t forget to bring a new unwrapped toy valued at $5 or more for Love In The Mirror Toy Drive and a chance to win prizes.
Ruby’s Christmas Car Show. This free event features a gathering of vintage automobiles on display in the Ruby’s Diner parking lot. Enthusiasts are encouraged to bring their hot rods, street rods and muscle cars and strut their stuff. A favorite with local car enthusiasts, this popular event has grown tremendously over the years and features vintage and classic cars from all over Southern California. Take a stroll and marvel at this fine collection of classic automobiles, then stop by Ruby’s for breakfast or lunch!
